Yes, we can see that. Unwarping is in 99% of the cases a absolutly vital step when you use textures. When you use produceals (what you wrongly call materials) that are generated by mathematical formulas MAX (or whatever program you use) does this for you. There are plenty of tutorials at there. Do a google search, check in…
I think the baked version looks a lot better than the high poly. I think the baked version forces some kind of form on it. Your anatomy needs work, but whose doesn't? If you're going to be making 100s of characters I say take what you learned and move on. You will see a large improvement in #99 vs. #1
99% sure I won't make it, parental duties. Sorry to be one of those bowing out, I say we do another one soon, designate someone as the MC and they choose what we do instead of this constant disagreement bullshit (I'm guilty of this too, but it is better when someone throws down the gauntlet like Adam just did).
@ Renderasdf, 99% of the time you can fast close lightbox by just clicking outside the img (in the black space) When you open my site you go straight to photography, maybe you should also skip " home" abd let it go to the gameart page when you open the site instead. It looks clean, nice and easy :)
Maya for 99% modeling. Sometimes I jump into XSI for some models just to re-familiarize myself with it (I used it for almost two semesters a few years ago at college/uni). I really liked it and I'm planning to get more models from it here and there. Zbrush for sculpts when I do them...still learning that one.
Hey everybody! This is the WIP thread for my entry - feedback is much appreciated. The skin is inspired by the various skeleton themed sci-fi comic book covers in the 70s. This is the workshop link for the project: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=679449259 I intend this skin to be part of the…
it is a little odd to be honest, many years back when zbrush was mainly a 2.5d tool for illustrators to work with pixols it might have made sense. nowadays where i guess 99% of the people are not using the 2.5d mode, i guess they could have changed the naming of things to make it more clear that a document is in fact only…
we type these words 99 times more than we say them, which is why this thread even exists, cause nobody really needs to say these that often. and if you've ever worked in a studio with people outside of your own country you get used to different pronounciations. i think language is emergent anyway, who really wants to call…
Decided to render out my car in Vray for the highpoly shots, never touched it before so im just trying to learn the basics. I figured the highpoly shots of the car would benefit from something more than the usual grey falloff. If anyone has any tips im all ears! The HP model is 99% complete. (Just need to finish the…
EDIT: this was to the OP. Apparently my response time is dismal at best... lol 99% of the time I believe that is exactly what most people do. Simply inflate their lowres mesh. Sometimes this isn't ideal though, especially if you have alot of small tightly spaced areas, you still end up with intersecting points. I am…
