... my poor laptop is already fighting quicksaves in a scene with 'barley' 55 millions ('quciksaves' up to 191 secs...)... I guess he would slap me in the face if I would push it further and kick me in the nuts for 160... I guess it doesn't matter how strong machines become, we will be riding them to till they start… -

yeah I was wondering how this would compare with an old galaxy note 10.1 as those are £199 now. That said I dont think I would like any of them unless thier stylus worked the same was as a wacom and was properly touch sensitive. -

Agreed, the ribbon introduced lag was annoying. They've done a lot to speed it up quite a bit now so the lag for me isn't noticeable, the horribly inconsistent UI is what keeps me from using it. I Disable the ribbon and set keyboard shortcuts for the few things that I need. The "old menu system" is still there and active… -

This looks like a really cool idea. Unfortunately there's something wrong with your thread, it freezes Chrome when I try to scroll down. I think it's because your bottom image is 10,457 pixels wide, and the browser is taking too long to resize it to fit the thread width. I'd recommend scaling down to 1920 or less width… -

congrats! I'll always be anti-house buying. Too much of a hassle and the future is too unpredictable now. Maybe back in the 1950s when you settled down in a town and didn't move because you were unaware about opportunities lay elsewhere, but not now.
