I recently started using Sketchbook (previously just Photoshop) and the program appears to be fairly easy to pick up. However, despite looking up a number of search terms and reading charts of hotkeys, I have yet to find ways to re-enact certain functions I frequently use in photoshop. 1) Centering the image. The y-reflect…
Great studies Vatsel! You're really progressing and I admire how well you've been keeping up with things. One thing I really like is how your photo / movie studies are turning out. The Fight Club and taTu ones are instantly recognizable. Hang in there with the heads. I'm definitely still struggling with the subject, but…
Right off the bat, I have a very small budget for this. I'm working on a 2D game that only has a single member on the team - me. And I'm a lot better at coding than I am drawing. Payment / Sheet I have very little money to spare, but I still want to pay someone for this work so I am very open to negotiating. Payment can be…
I found this amazing concept of a sword on Pinterest and decided to make it into 3D! I mainly blocked out the main shapes in Maya and brought the midpoly into Zbrush to give it more detail. I then put it back into Maya as I built the candle mostly in Zbrush and had to Quad-draw over it to get a good lowpoly for it to bring…
youre a genius, thanks for the advice! off to adding more detail now :P also, would you happen to know how to extend a curve after drawing it? it seems to be locked to the starting draw size by default, i cant drag it out any further
by the sound of it your teacher neither inspires much confidence nor does seem to be really teaching all that effectively... but that's just the impression i'm getting first off, the lizard-riding concepts: i like the original color one the best, but i think that's because it's the most 'together' and conceptually…

There are other crazy things sometimes too...like dynamic shadows. If you have a scene lit by dynamic shadows, many of the triangles are often re-drawn in a shadow pass, and stuff that is off-screen can still get drawn. Think about it - if something behind you is casting a shadow that falls in front of you, it has to still…
I have my sphere set up and get to the part to draw the points. When I draw the points the sphere reappears and the points are being drawn on the sphere and not creating the polys. I am following your tutorial. Am I missing a step?
