The "array of lights" will work. Before global illumination/ radiosity solvers became available that was the way to do it. But then it's not IBl it's just a lot of light calculations.. Which totally loses the advantage of IBl bring a quick texture fetch. However in a totally differed lighting renderer, that could be a more…
That's what's known as an Iterator. It's an inbuilt function that cycles through all the parts of an array: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iterator the same thing in python looks like this: mylist = [1, 2, 4, 56, 6, 7, 34, 99]
I just released a 3ds Max 2017 compatible version of Outliner ( now on 2.1.6 ). Previous versions of Outliner would crash on open in 3ds Max2017 SP1 and SP2, because of an array initialization bug in 3ds Max 2017. Download can be found here http://www.frogsinspace.at/?p=3001
That's why I model in Blender even after re-subscribing back to MAx again . Still no transfer modifier for normals. No reliable interactive UV transfer/projection. ( the one in Projection is hardly working) No reliable shrinkwrap without breaking your brain in MCG, No Blender's cool array modifier that can shift UV in…
I do 3D modeling, 2D design (menus, textures, interface, etc) and rendering. If you need additional help for that. I prefer only working in mid-poly - high poly. Making more realistic models. I don't do characters yet, but have done a wide array of items and objects. Thanks
Devin: Thanks for checkin my sb out man! Make all the crits you want, I'm not exempt from them :P You're right about my figures, really need to try out a wider array of poses. I'll be posting some updates there pretty soon. *edit* Forgot to post arts..
I am new to the 3d field , learning maya at present. I am trying to develop a script , one of the module aims at separating smoothed polygonal objects. i am having problem in separating the smoothed polygons , though i have stored all the polygons in a an array. Need help with it , plz help me.........:(
Like Di$array said, maybe add something on the jeans to make them looks more "trendy", maybe a bit of blueish(edit:like he^ said). And I definitely want to see more of that yellow you put on her arms...made me think of this , probably not the best ref out there...
More knives seconded.. Im imagining a small array of knives on sticks asyncronised for optimal sustained stabbage. That might also give you more mechanical thingies for you to make to add to the visual interest. Also, do you have any specific style in mind for this? Or is this purely an engineering extravaganza?
Whew, didn't expect to be this unimpressed with the wide array of "new features" of '2018. http://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-F687E23D-6FBA-4C8A-9202-C30F2860E5BE (EDIT: Okay, direct linking seems to be impossible somehow, follow the "What's New" link on the left hand menu)
