Artquest thank you and I love that film wasnt intentional to look like them. I was wanting some sort of mech armour of some kind mixed with robes over the top, hinting at what he once was e.g warrior but got tired of the constant battles. so the armour you can see would look battered, I dont know why but a desert…
Spud- Oops! Almost forgot the "save forever" thing. Thanks! MdK- Yeah, 3DCoat is a nice program, perfect for Dota2 items imo. This is the progress so far, I'll stream it again later today. We decide to go with 2 items, so I did a quick concept for the armour. Maybe it's a bit...too much? hahah Oni is streaming the armour…
I agree that you should concentrate on getting that feminine look. Try and work on the torso armour around the ribs, looking from the front view it looks too rounded. If you look at the concept you'll see how the subtle changing the curves, especially around the bottom part of the torso armour, helps define the feminine…
I was a bit concerned that the big thigh armour was giving her a kind of pear shape, its something i might look at changing before doing any detail. Its also got a lot of empty space on it unlike most of the other armour parts, was thinking it would be ok if i filled up that space with a nice ornate design but i wouldn't…
I'm running around with Dogmeat and Cross at the moment so you can have at least two. I really should load Cross up with my useless junk. I hadn't thought of using her as a mule. I wish people hadn't kicked up such a stink over the Oblivion horse armour. I'd pay a fiver for a suit of dog power armour right about now.
mate tell me about it !!! it doesnt have legs because its for my uni assignmnent, its a hard surface test and my first concept lacks secondary and tertiary details which are important for hard surface scupting. yeah the face im saving until last because all my marks for the project are gonna come from his armour :D the…
your final pose is DREADFUL. it completely hides the most important part of the model, her face. why is it the most important part? because you've chosen to make a female character, in full plate... where all of her other female defining areas are hidden by the bulk of her armour (which is cool), all that's left to define…
The colours are WAY too bright, other than that, it looks quite good, but you only have a handful of shots with her armour fully rendered, and I can't quite get a handle in wether I like it or not. You haven't presented the armour well in the shots you have chosen. The zero-suit looks awesome, and you are obviously doing…
A university project requires a prehistoric creature to be modeled, mechanical elements can be introduced, or a completely mechanized dinosaur can be designed and created. For this project it was decided that a half organic, half hard surface model would be created to allow the model to show strengths in both areas. The…
Here are some more bits of progress, did a bit of tidying up but mostly spent today messing around merging the tentacles onto the armour. I need to refine the area around where it joins, the edge looks messy and parts of the tentacle shape picked up some issues from the projections. I've probably lost a bit of detail…
