Inspiring work, I've spent a lot of time marveling at the amount of detail in the environments and props so far. Very, very cool :) Was there concept art to work from for all of those props?
Really cool. The only think I can say is that the spots on the corset look weird. I know they are on the ref too but there should be a way to improve that. Did you use marvelous designer ?
Thanks! The carpet was made in Marvelous, so I mainly just played around with folds there. Made some small tweaks for the lowpoly in Maya, toning down some folds, but that was pretty much it. :)
oh almost forgot - the comments regarding marvelous made me chuckle. 'stay in there as little as possible'. my sentiments exactly. what a drag to become some simulation hand-holding monkey.
Awesome, I remember the battletoads game, this super-realism and quality reminds me of how they take 80's cartoons and do serious, gritty, realistic, cinematic remakes. Marvelous work.
Probably has to do with the momentum from the Marvel movies. Chances are even if the movie is merely just competent, it will still be better than most Star Wars movies. The bar is really low.
To start with, here's the sculpt for the body. This is mostly for proportions, but some secondary forms are in to make sure the cloth reacts properly to the contours of the body in Marvelous Designer. Also, here are the primary forms of the head.
Our Shiva Lich set is officially completed, huge thanks to Prophet9 for being a marvelous partner. It was an enjoyable journey collaborating with him. Upvotes are appreciated, please do share around as well!
Saw this on Artist Old n' new! Looks good then and looks good now; though didn't see the full body shots! Did you sculpt the cloth or use marvelous designer?
