Their jobs page is hilarious... The animator post is just a bunch of big words for "I don't know what im talking about". Its basically telling you what an animator is and does. Not what you will be doing at that specific company. Animators 101. The fact they list off the principles of animation is just very noob to me.
Please. Skill has nothing to do with being an artist. You can vomit syringes and blood onto a canvas and say it's a commentary on the life of a starving fine-arts artist in today's consumerist society and be called an artist. All you need is A) a Sincere Message to Communicate, or B) Bullshitability 101. Actually, that…

I made the transition from Maya to Max about a year ago, and I found Eat3D's 3DS Max 101 DVD invaluable. Great value, and it covers just about all the Max functionality you could need, from modeling to lighting, some rigging and animation and even some of the cloth tools. I'd highly recommend it.
Just remember that the 16th and 17th is the weekend of carmageddon so I truly don't know how bad the traffic will be that weekend. 405 from the 10 to the 101 is closing down (which is quite a distance and quite the congestion already) so you might want to do it somewhere else or possibly even reschedule...just a heads up…
