I actually researched that book. Seems it really only works for people in managerial positions. Mostly has you limiting meetings, phone calls, and emails that will save you a couple hours a day. There's no way to trim how long it takes to make an epic badass piece of art... only your skills. 80 hours of work a week is…
damn dude, epic. That's so well done. I love it. Only note (which you probably haven't gotten to yet so it's just me being a nancy) is to make sure you get the top-to-bottom gradient going, as right now his feet and bottom of his trunk feel like a similar value to the top of him. Other than that... AWESOME!
should be possible i've seen a thread over at the epic forums that shows how to change the player model to another from the game (Baird for example). what i think your running into is a problem with dirty packages (modifying packages that came with the game). if you save it to your own package then follow the same…
malcolm: if scifi/violence is your type, definitely check out Spriggan. You won't be disappointed jackablade: have you watched full metal alchemist? The style is much like Cowboy Bebop and it has an awesome storyline. Definitely not geeky-anime style, more epic movie style like Cowboy Bebop and the such. edit: i second…
I had never seen or heard of Firefly before this movie was starting to be pushed and the final trailer hit . Serenity without knowing anything about the series was really awesome . If they changed a few things and made it more epic it could have been another Star wars . I personally think it was on Par with fifth element…
Have you looked at the way epic build their levels? the UDK comes with several sample levels. Some of the necris levels look pretty similar to what you want. I would suggest that if you're going to be up close then you definitely want to build your modules in fairly small chunks. You will have performance problems if you…
heh, I've infected another one I've put about 10 people at Epic on to singlemalt's now too, I'm just doing my bit for Scotland. It's hopeless here in NC for whisky though, the sin tax, the backward attitude to 'hard liquor' and the general impossibility to find singlemalts at bars is depressing so I'm always happy to put…
I have no education in the arts ( or anything else really ), I made it clear I was self taught each time I applied for a job. I work at Epic so I don't think this information hurt me, rather it proved I was highly self motivated and capable of learning new things myself which is a useful skill in the games industry.
Thanks Tulkamir!! thats what people are saying in the EPIC Games Forums as well. I'm off to give it a try. Anyways keep an eye out for my map in a month or two. DM-Carbon, put a lot of work into it, and its made of 100 percent custom assets so people only with the demo can play it. Even the coronas are custom. Thanks for…
So I have been applying jobs for years and constantly getting rejection. My target place to work is Riot and Blizzard. I am also considering some studios that produce stylized art such as Velan Studio or Epic. I have been working on improving the quality of my character to approach the industry's standard. Just don't know…
