He is using a deviantart provided folio guys, so he cant really do those things. I suggest looking at wordpress or carbonmade for something better if you dont want to make a personal one. Great model! Love the bold shape you gave him, and you have great poly usage. Now... you might want to shorten his boots and lengthen his pants, as right now his knees are right where his boots start, so you'd be getting some funky deformation. Plus it matches the proportions of the concept better too. -

I used max a bit(gmax) and tried out maya(ple), I like the maya ui alot more but I hate the watermark, makes it impossible to do anything imho. Granted I am not the greatest modeler yet, but I wanted to get an idea of what was more popular choice these days and if any of the free/cheap programs were comparable. -
