In my experience in creating wood materials I suggest that you use inverse hue specular color maps by putting hue/saturation adjustment layer and slide the hue slider to the left. The final color of the specular map would be blue. You can also add tiny details in the spec map. you can also read this article about the…
Cheers walthergropius, good job on Slide releasing that script, it's a nifty little idea - the simple & fast ones often end up being the most useful! :) I've updated the script to v1.1 - added an option to place the resulting mesh relative to the object or the world (object is by default, I think it's the most useful one),…
Thanks for your feedback snoop. Yes, texturing is not my strongest point. Trying to work on it. The finger prints are bright because of the lighting which is reflecting off them. I'm not sure what the roughness value of finger grease is. That might help. I just used a value that looked similar in reference shots. I tried…
Hi, Im using Zbrush 4r8 P1 and I have a problem creating adaptive skin from zspheres. When I set density to 2 and press adaptive skin button it creates mesh but with no subdivision levels. Is it possible to create mesh with subdivision levels? Setting density to 2 should create mesh subdivided by 2 but it's not working :/…
This is coming along nicely. But I think your lighting needs adjustment to get closer to your reference. It helps to place your renders side-by-side with your reference, so you can directly compare them. Also, are you thinking about adding more foliage?
Hello there, this is something that I've been trying to resolve for a few days now, and I thought that maybe it's time to ask someone else for help since I don't seem to make progress on that matter from my research. First and foremost: I'm using - Blender 2.82 for 3D Modelling, UV mapping, and Exporting - Collada as file…
KDR: Saggy cheeks hm? I take it you're refering mainly to the (laugh?) lines around the nose/mouth area? Though they're not usually represented in anime and such (line art), they are a common and overlooked part of the adult female face. 'Course, I conceed that she actually probably shouldn't have them. I've been meaning…
I was monster blue's boss during and after we both dropped out of school. Readjusting he's schedule wa the best thing ever. After he got his first job, he told me to quit my job and he paid rent. I got a part time job to pay my car bill and food. After 6 months, I got my first industry job too. Personally, I never…
hello, As my first post I would it rather be of this finished but, it would seem that I need a hand in the animation side of this. :susp: you see I want to get the barrel of my gun here spinning up/constant/down with the slider. im currently using a script on the controller for the barrel group for the rotation. (SLD_Spin…
Cheers Andrew! Looking at other wards, I'd kinda figured that sliding-along-the-ground movement was just sort of accepted as a limitation of some designs. But I do like the floating chunk of soil idea... feels more polished than having it just magically glide along. Got a good few polys left to play with (although less so…
