Curvature map shows grey as flat, darker as the angle approaches 180 degrees concave, and lighter as the angle approaches 180 degrees convex. So crevices and such are darker, while edges and such are lighter. It doesn't work so well with floating or unconnected geo, so AO would be substituted there.
Yeah dislike wireless routers. I have a coaxial 1000 meter cable running from my bedroom, through the ceiling of the flat below me, out through their cat-flap, under a tunnel and into my shed. My ping is awesome with the 10mbps card I have.
Silhouette is looking really good, and the bakes look nice and clean. However, I'd echo what the others have said - a lot of the musculature looks flat and like it's just drawn on top of the shape of his body. My suggestion would be to indicate the muscle insertions where the deltoids meet the collar bone, and where the…
Above the Updated version. This version includes/has the following fixes:
- Fixed floating wooden construction and scale issues on wooden walkway.
- Fixed the pink flowers. They are less static and move more.
- Removed the very far statue, feedback says it is better if I just have the closer one.
- The small flags should…
Dysengaged - I explained the water a little a few pages back :) Update recently: Added these few things to bring a bit more life and story, the boat is there for the kings hasty escape. Covered in hydras (the symbol of this kingdom) and goooooold, probably not seaworthy with such weight, so I'll just say its gold paint!…
Hey John... I never noticed you posted this up. I was searching for my old bait shop thread and ran across this. To answer you question, the chimney and windows are floating geometry, but the edges leading to the window area on the house are just a simple split in the face of the bait shop so that I could open the window…
Hmm. One thing you could try is making a flat slope, displacing it with noise, then tell World Machine (or whatever fluid solver) to send water down it. Should end up with something similar.
The eyes need to be a bit lower, thus adding more volume to the 'meat flap' under the eyebrows, otherwise pretty good likelyness. Oh and I just noticed, have a closer look at your forehead (it isn't as flat). You don't look quite as cave-manish as your model
Mik2121, it's a more anime-ish style, but you're, her face is too flat and that hairstyle does nothing to help defining her head shape. I guess I was always too busy cringing at her impossible arm and never noticed that other flaw! Thanks!
Had a go at the grenade for now, I'd like to try the well or the room next. toxic_h2o Great idea modelling the base flat and then bending it, didn't think of that at all! Great job everyone, you also managed to motivate me and make me start modeling again and that's no small feat haha!
