Update! I mostly worked on giving her muscle definition and fixing up anatomy. Lengthened her legs and torso a bit and adjusted the armour accordingly. Retopoing her is proving to be a pain because her armour is so thin I constantly have to adjust it to cover everything while reducing poly count.
this is my take on Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, from A Song of Ice and Fire. need to: * paintover a suitable armour style (must be dragony) * make the hands * block out the hair shapes (photoshopped above) * make epic suit of armour * make low poly * texture * make epic render * upload to portfolio will cross them out as i do…
Got any close ups of her face? On another note her hands seem a tad too big.. maybe reduce em by about 10% or so and maybe the same with the knee armour. The back looks a little bland dont know if thats just the view but maybe add some more folding detail in just with all the armour it would affect the cloth
Making a helmet for Chivalry (and also the game I'm making). I've actually spent 5 years making armour irl too, so it's pretty fun improving my 3d and game-asset making skills, combining two of my favorite hobbies at the same time. Real armour pictures, other 3d, and some really old concept art at http://www.zetheros.com.
not a bad adaption, I'd say those criss-cross bits on the armoured panelling make it weaker though, instead of more detailed. they look more like something that'd be on the underside of an armour plate more than the outside edit: sorry look like they are on the miniature, so hey you're just following ref. I still prefer…
Beginnings of an interesting design. If he's an entire man under the armour, and not some cyborgy thing, his eye holes look to be set too high and are probably a bit on the small side (you certainly wouldn't want your vision restricted while operating a military aircraft. The armour around the stomach area doesn't look as…
Nice work, the detail on some of the clothing is impressive. However I would say the texture and proportions still need some work before it'd be an excellent version of the original character. Mainly I think with the mesh, the legs are too long, Tom Cruise is pretty short, definitely not "superhero" proportions, and I…
That's an insane amount of redstone! I'd be cool if there was a pit it fell into so the finished piece could sit apart from the construction apparatus. :) Anyone notices a woodlouse texture and power armour in the latest update? Not sure what the woodlouse is going to do, but the power armour looks interesting. BTW -…
I like designing armour so I figure I should figure out how to model it. If you guys know any tutorials other than the Joan of Arc one with armour I'm all ears. TO BE CONTINUED... but very distracted reading Iron Man comics lately :x (body mesh is from Skyrim)
Looking good so far! This may sound weird, but I find that the upper armour doesn't contrast well with the skin (in terms of HVS). If you add padding like dand3d suggested this could help, or change up the hvs of the armour, such as add some colour into the greys to help compliment the skin & straps (maybe a green-blue…
