force grid to draw behind everything else
I have this annoying problem with the grid, when you have splines or models at the 0,0,0, the grid keeps hiding the lines of the spline/model unless you select the model. Is there a way to force the grid to always show behind, without moving anything into the + space of the plane? -

Hand Painted Textures...what else...
so yeah the hand painting bug has bitten me. I've become obsessed...woo.. so yeah I've been trying wood first and I'm having difficulty with getting the grain patterns. I've gotten big details but I just don't know how to get the finer grain that adds more interest and makes it less flat. Any crits or advice is appreciated… -

uv island problem in maya or something else?
did my best on an unwrap of a simple object to become a noteboard, cork board sort of thing. i made a simple diffuse but i see it being applied on each different part of the model.... the board itself, the sheets, etc. feels like a simple error along the way somewhere. can someone please help me? -
Anyone else still use MS Paint?
I still use photoshop, but I also like sketching in Paint. I'm aware how other digital art programs are superior to it, but I like Paint boots instantly. I also like using the 1 pixel pencil and its "natural aliasing" it produces. Having no layers also challenges me to be more resourceful. -
