In a lot of text/code editors when you select or double click a word all of its instances got highlighted.
This feature exist in 3ds Max 2024, but does not exist in all previous versions of 3ds Max. The provided code will add this functionality to the lower versions of 3ds max. I am not the author of the code. All kudos…
Hi guys, So I've created a model and polypainted detail over the top on a high subdivision level. The model is intended for VR chat, so I've later realised I need to decrease the amount of polys significantly (to under 20k). I can't seem to transfer the polypaint layer down to the lower subdivision model without it getting…
I cant figure out how to tone down the reflections on my materials. ive got a metal material, which is supposed to have a high specular, but not very much reflection. No matter what i do to the 3 (!) sliders i still get fresnel reflections at high angles which basically light up my model like its armageddon or something.…
Hi everyone :) I'm still new to 3d, so I'm pretty sure I screwed up a few things while sculpting with dynamesh. I wanted to create a normal map, but when I switch off dynamesh its unavailable, I don't have any lower subdivisions as well. How can I make the normal map in this situation? ;P
I would use floaters for small details like this, if the goal is to bake textures onto a lower-resolution in-game mesh. If high-res modeling is the deliverable, then you could simply sculpt the divot behind the nail, and keep the nail as its own separate mesh node.
I have 4 environmental photogrammetry meshes created using Autodesk ReMake. They're all super hi poly. My plan is to arrange them together into a single environment, and generate a single lo poly mesh that I then bake the textures from the hi poly meshes on to using Marmoset. But they're super super hi poly! And I'm not…
Hello, I had once an image on my computer explaining how to weld and cut a higher poly cylinder to a lower poly... Imaginge you have an object with a fat base and its getting slimmer at the top, so you don't need as much polys as at the base. Exatly that was what this tut was explaining. Do you guys know of another tut…
Hello, I got yesterday New Houdini. What i am trying to do is model based on ref images. I set images for background and side view but issue is that when i see mesh i don`t see image. Need the image in order to model. How to lower visibility for the model so i can see ref image behind it?
@Neox I've only just started learning Blender's sculpting functionality cos can't afford zbrush atm so curious if you tried this method? (found it online) Setting Up ZBrush-style Alt-Smooth in Blender 1. Activate the Smooth brush: Hold Shift to temporarily switch to the Smooth brush. 2. Access Brush Settings: Press Ctrl +…
