I just got the permission to post something I've done for Windward Mark Interactive. Swiss army weapon!! Edit: I hope it's ok to post these in this thread noritsune, I only asked Warby. If not I'm gonna move them.
Add some weaponry and armor stands to it, that'd be cool. Maybe a few siege weapons, even. Totally up to you and whoever else feels like contributing ideas, but I always liked the styles of military equipment from that time.
Sven Co-op is working on a co-op version of hl2. Hl2dm is nice, but is lacking in maps still at the moment. and it would be nice to have the option to remove all weapons and only receive the physics gun as that generally provides the most fun.
Sometimes environmental artists will use something like Dark Tree to lay down base textures and generate maps, but they will almost always undergo significant treatment in Photoshop. And I don't know anyone that would use that on weapons, at least not yet.
KDR, he was either seen holding them, but not using them or he was simply editted out of fight scenes. on the UK orginated TMHT merchandise, he didn't have any weapons. he just posed with his fists clenched.
If the coder going to make any changes, change the exporter, or engine, to support multiple meshes. I think that's the best long-term solution. Having to make the guns and arms one mesh, for every weapon, doesn't make any sense.
Hey guys, I was wondering how people manage their assets whether its models, brushes etc. For instance do I put this banana in a food folder.... or a weapon folder. I`d love to know any sort of hierarchy or extra programs you use to store assets. Thanks
Hi guys. 1st ever weapon modelled, so any advice would be awesome! Few things still to be done on the HP like attach the stand to the barrel etc. Will be making a low poly hopefully. Also any help with rendering would be great :) Rip me to shreds :)
