The rule of thumb when following concepts is: "do it like the concept, but cooler". So if you think the pillars should be sharper and more defined to match the statue; or the statue should be rough and worn to match the pillars, go for it. -

So I've been using Alchemy more and I'm really loving it. I find myself using the Auto Record feature a lot; it's great to just be able to start up Alchemy and instantly begin sketching away without worrying about saving files, and then having a nice fat .pdf waiting for you to go through later. It still looks great! I wish I could travel to exotic areas and photoscan statues like that. I'm trying to find cool statues to photoscan in the San Francisco area, instead of just trees, rocks and brick walls. -

Sculpted hair FTW, I think on stylized characters it helps keeping the style between parts, like a statue. Imagine if ancient sculptor masters had put wigs to their statues instead of sculpting the hair. Would look silly, wouldn't it ? ^^ -
