I've actually done the mage, a tan red-headed girl with a young face and hazel eyes. Her name is Isis. Very pretty but not overly so. Only have the face, not the outfit or the weapon. I'll post the pic later.
The images all load extremely slowly. You misspelled Tessellation. At one point I clicked on the weapons image and was taken to the shaders area, but that could have something to do with everything loading so slowly. (Maybe the images jumped.)
Interesting approach of this contest. The hood and hands seams just a bit over detailled in comparison of the rest ; I would save sme tris on those parts to add more tris on the kind of sickle weapon. Waiting for some texture ;)
OK, I will post some of my work. I'm currently working on a weapon FX pack. When it's done I will post it up for everyone here. Until then I'm gonna throw this thread on hiatus. Good advice. Be back soon.
Messer is no term for anything special tho, it simply says "Knife" in German, usually reffered to eating utensil knifes, so this is the same if you would name a AK74 as "Weapon" Looks nice, it seems to be floating on the first pic tho
This is relevant to the situation...if it goes through, it seems it will have an impact on outsourcing that deals with digital media http://pando.com/2014/02/25/revenge-of-the-nerds-how-tech-geeks-found-a-secret-weapon-in-their-fight-against-big-hollywood/
arms and hands done, tomorrow ill do the legs, wednesday ill do the skirt and final polishing. character should be done then so i can move on to the weapon, wich hopefully will be done till the end of the week too.
Thanks guys! Yeah, Zetheros, we're gonna try and ground it more in reality. Realistic textures should help too. Started concepting the weapon. Lots of details to work out, but I'll figure them out in the modeling phase.
Well usually people just use a turbosmooth modifier and place edge loops to control the smoothing. This might be useful http://cgi.tutsplus.com/tutorials/next-gen-weapon-creation-part-1-the-high-poly-model--cg-782
I think I'm getting there. Slowly but surely. I could really use some help with the spec map. Anyone here got experience with texturing weapons that have any pointers? Any help would be grately appreciated. :)
