Re: Elite on kickstarter
To turn it into even epic game, make it so you can go down to surface and 'minecraft' on the planet in some way. Be able to build or fund bases/civz on planets, which you could seamless walk into your ship, around it and into the captain seat, travel out of the planet and beyond. :-D -

The Robo Recall windows are all done this way. That's how I learned how to do it from there. Their material has a lot of extra stuff that you'll have to get rid of, but it works fine. You can download their full project from the Epic Launcher. I even "ported" it to Unity and used it there. -

Re: Save Level Issues in UDK
So when i try to save my level and package into content folder. What i get when i reload the scene is. Everything to do with lightning and Epics own meshes are in there. But my Meshes and textures wont load at all. I HAve to re-import them from maya -

Just did a quick single player game of the first level of the first campaign at work during my lunch break (with my boss and co-workers crowded around to watch lol). This game is EPIC! Everything there was to love about L4D1 has been multiplied and added on to. Kudos Valve, kudos. -

there are bagpipes everywhere :P if it is indeed gaelic its certainly not because of them ;) dont get me wrong I'm just curious about the origin of the music aswell as the language used, and why they decided to use such ones on the promo instead of some epic modern stuff and english like the other promos. -

dyf I use my laptop all the time and it only got a bit hot once becasue the intake fan was full of dust. Notorious P.I.G - my laptop seems to be going the same way, verical grey lines even on the bios screen. its stopped now, but a worry nontheless -

got it on wednesday i believe. extremely fun, though i really hate the respawn thing talbot mentioned. other than that, this game's epic. i especially love fighting the 'bosses'... though i guess they might be 'mini-bosses'. i hope more like this keep comming =D!
