I think the armour could do with some small details adding to it (I'm not sure if your concept is the exact product you're aiming for or not). The concept reminds me of Gatts/Guts from a manga called Berserk, his armour is pretty sweet. It's a good idea, will be watching to see how it progresses. :)
Hot pants armour :P I think thats a first! Anyways good start so far. I would personally lose the section of the chest armour that overlaps the abdomen area as it would provide a problem for her if she was to pick anything up.
[ QUOTE ] Ok but wtf is up with eh guy in the armour? Brothers of Steel has one armour design that they are using already, such important details they cant change right so I hope they got a good explanation for that one good luck! [/ QUOTE ] huh?
I think the gold works because of the red armour plates you have. If you had gone for a green or blue armour you could of had some cool hues in the silver and it might have worked but for how it looks now I like the gold.
I dont understand why people always pant the armour too look like shitty 60's airbrushed gloss crap you see at circus rides? what about using flat colours and a mat finish, or even painting the armour in camo or cadpat.
Cheers for the feedback. Her heel goes in the segment below that, underneath the area that sticks out which is an extension of the armour. I decided I wasn't particularly happy with the boots and feet armour so I did some modifications which I feel work better. Added more mass to the arms too (Cheers for that Rednaz).
While damascus armour might be out of the question (I actually wanted to do the same IRL, before people with more knowledge convinced me not to), armourers of the past have made extraordinary works of art using gold leaf, acid etch, and repousse & chasing. If you're going for intricacy, it's one of the routes you can take.
ok some costume design and brainstorm for armour: I've done the brainstorming after initiallg running for a bit with the top armour design. Something was somewhat amiss though in the sculpting so I am stepping back a bit for some more concentrated design, then I shall rework the sculpt.
