Try sampling a lower mipmap or rendering a lower resolution depth map. I've found that flow maps can often look more natural with lower resolutions. The change in directions will be less sharp and should help making it look less like lava. But it would be pretty cool to see this effect with a lava shader :)
@DemonPrincess Yeh, I think Ive learnt my lesson, Im gonan stick to lower res maps from now on. Like you said its easier to paint quickly and tbh I like the lower res version better if anything. With Emissive, sticking to lower res too.
I think in the concept her shoulders are a little more broad, and the proportion of her lower leg to her upper leg is off. her knees should be lower. the femur is one of the first bones to start growing and one of the last to stop, making the upper leg longer than the lower leg.
It's looking pretty good, I like the moss detail :) The only things that I think can improve are the coin rustiness, maybe lower the contrast a little bit and lower the normal intensity for the dark wood a bit as well, at least on the lower side panel, I think it might be dirt but it seems too sharp imo. Nice work!
