Perhaps the best of both worlds would be to have a dual "screen" setup. One screen is your cintiq, and the other is the projector, and be able to use the same pen on both of the screens. But that would probably be digital art overkill...
Project name: Last Chance Brief description: The game is a First Person Shooter called 'Last Chance'(temp title). It's set in the future, and it takes place in the middle of a war between 2 great civilizations. You, as a soldier, and your team land each time into several islands and have to complete an objective. The game…
It kinda depends on the type of 3D work you're doing. Games are displayed by means of 'realtime rendering', that is; instantaneous renders for every frame. The only true way to show this is as you have been doing, with a screen capture of your model either in a game engine, or from the 3D app viewport (ideally using some…

Yeah as you see i am in a corner, i tried a few monitor setups, even with arms but having one monitor in front of me and then another basically 45° sidewas always felt weird compared to a normal 2 monitor setup on a non curved desk. So i opted for the Dell U4919DW. Thanks to state corona/company support it was a bit…
My wife got Mario 3D world for christmas and it's the most fun I've had in a long time. Over the last 5-6 years I've struggled to find games that pull me in like that and have me wanting to complete and collect things. It's been great going back and playing wind waker again too. That's a big turn off for me too. Hopefully…
Nope, I mentioned this above, it was the first thing I noticed and it bugged me for a whole week before I got accustomed to it. The tiles sizes are also slightly smaller too which also annoyed me cause i had apps to make images out of tiles. The other thing that bugged me was each column is only 3 square tiles in width but…
Yeah my biggest requirements are: A. Cheap B. Quality screen C. Reliable, I've had too many digi photo frames just stop working on me, end up buying a new one every couple years and they all suck the same(bad screen etc). So using a surplus ultrasharp is really the way I think I need to go. I could do the laptop/netbook…
Yeah that's almost right - 1-bit alpha also causes overdraw on every pixel, even the opaque ones. With 8-bit alpha opaque pixels are just as expensive as partially transparent pixels. When it gets expensive, is when you have several layers of alpha cards on top of each other - because with opaque pixels, the render does…
