StevenZer - Thanks! LMP - Thanks for the crits, what do you mean when you say the metal is soft on the spec? And yea I struggled with the skin shader, I was working on it until the last minute but I had to hand it in. dazzerfong - For the lion sculpts, I modelled the shoulder and chest plate pieces, then I used zSketch to…
HELLO PC, Its been a while since i posted last so i thought ill give you an update. still working on Tink, i have started the high polly model built 99% in Zbrush after i lost the base mesh i was building. so i decided after i have built my HP model im just going to retopo it in 3D Coat and then use that to bake out the…
Yeah it was a bit strange at first and like stinger88 says I missed a few trustworthy tools, but that was because at the tome I didn't know what I was doing. There are videos and the rest you cam pretty much figure out. As far as speed goes its hard to say. I reckon some standard modelling tasks are slower, mostly due to…
Day 24: Let the Smoothing Begin! Starting with the biggest and baddest, the handguard and upper receiver have been dynameshed and polished. I also have started reducing the complex piece of the retractable stock. Yesterday I spent trying to figure out the smoothing process. I tried 3D Coat, didn't like how high I had to…
Hi there, I am fairly new to Zbrush and I've been working on this model for the last couple of weeks (model is still WIP). Model is currently at 1 million polygons and the body is still a dynamesh as I will be adding the details after I pose the character (other items are subtools, some dynamesh, some subd). What I would…
Hey everyone, figured I'd begin sharing some work. I'll probably dump in here every time I finish an exercise or a session with some project. Hopefully that means I'll have something new every day, at least eventually, but I'll just be seeing how it goes for now. This will be mostly zBrush stuff, though I may also end up…
My level in Zbrush is beginners, I already researched a lot about the nanomesh feature on google, youtube and also pixologic zclassroom. They all just show how to use the nanomesh, but none of it show how to export a mesh or extract normal What I'm looking for is on that point, where I can export it for use in game engine.…
And that someone was me! Yeah, for something like this which is constructed out of multiple distinct shapes lumped together, I'd certainly start it out as seperate pieces, and merge it later to work on the shape as a whole. It's just so much easier to work on the planes of each seperate bit, without running the risk of…
Basically the process is correct. Though not as straight forward as it might sound. For example it makes a lot of sense to create the base mesh for the character. So if you are starting from dynamesh in Zrbush, get the basic proportions right, turn dynamesh of and go to 3ds Max/Maya to get a good sculptable topology that…
@Draconius Thanks a bunch. Ill take a look at the eyes. And maybe adding in the teeth and working with the gums and all that. The nose was a problem area. The references between real life rats and the ones i use differ sligthly and with all that fur its kinda hard to make out. Ill be looking at naked rats for this one.…
