managed to create the glowing stroke line around the model, import your model to zbrush, inflate it by 2-3 depends how wide your outer lines u want them to be, then go to display and click flip normals, import it in toolbag selec a material without gloss and spec select a collor from albedo and its ready
Made lots of small changes. Including armors details, scratches, spec/gloss value, etc etc. Eyelashes barely visible at all from this distance... :( Hands not resized yet. Will do that soon. Gonna work on her make up next... Then her hands/gloves. Will also make some parts of armors more shiney.
Good find EarthQuake on all the specs on this new camera. Now i don't have to worry about replacing my Canon DSLR camera for a while. This new type of camera will take time to get prefect like all new technology does. Seeing it will only be released for apple first then windows tells you something, lol
Yeah, I'm definitely gonna make a spec map for this. This is just Max's default specular level bumped up a bit to show off the normals. I've already caught few mistakes because if it which I'm now in the process of correcting. Here's the wire frame for the mesh. Thought it might help. As of now, the model is 1,058 tris.
realy nice detail and a have a realistic look for handpainted textures.. but i think the first one need a bit of color and the 2nd one a bit mir contrast. i think u can handle this with some spec, normal, gloss mapping.. and lighting. but if u want to have this unlit shading. add more color and contrast to the textures
Hey Jack, i like the gallery but I feel that the scene has a tad too much saturation and I think a bit of volumetric light would help a lot. Also the materials could be tweaked a little, especially in the spec/glossiness department. I hope this quick paintover helps to illustrate my point about the light and saturation:
Latest: based on some feedback I reworked the values, colors, and spec/reflections to make the metal pop a bit more and give her a nicer gradient. Still not happy with the ponytail.. it looks too boring right now, and I want it to better match the concept. Gonna try to build a new ponytail tomorrow and then re-paint the…
I'm not sure about similar specs, especially not the silly screen resolution, but the current Android tablet I'm waiting on is the rumored "Google Nexus Tablet" which might turn out to be the Asus MeMo 370T. And just throwing out a mention of SunVox which is pretty cool, because people were talking about creating music on…
thanks for the specs ;) after taking a look once again i just saw one little thing you might adjust. i think the crystal might not take so much of the blue light. as it is the source of energy (and magic - yey!) it should just absorb or overpower all the blue light... just my opinion, though ;) greets
Been a while! I stalk the thread every day though, so I don't miss your awesome stuff! :D I finally have something to add for once. From today's concept art class. Specs: Make something technical using photo refs for creation! Here are my cute but deadly chibibots.
