Yep yep, only the UI uses .NET 2.0 ( specifically Managed C++ and C# ), all the program core is written in C and C++ for portability and speed. I will have to talk to the team about this, but I don't think you will see much of a speed up by only baking maps that have had their settings changed as the majority of maps are pretty instant.
