Do me a favour. Use the 64bit Kubuntu, and try to get it to work within an hour. I hope they fixed it for this version, but ALL dependencies were broken, and it needed A LOT OF TWEAKING to fix. Say what you will, but Linux is not as easy to use as windows (yet). Add to that the douchebag attitude of a great deal of it's…
I recently upgraded my PC, which meant pretty much replacing all the component. And my system was cloned to a new NVME drive. After that Quixel Suite just flat out stopped working, and nothing I've tried fixed it. It was a very handy tool in my workflow to quickly add some details on normal maps via converting masks and…
Does this count as a character? God I hope not.. :poly122: Quickie overview.. After finishing up the 'mod facade' challenge I quickly moved on to a new scene I want to have completed before the end of the month. The idea came after I saw a concept by Feng Zhu while in search of something to practice my hard-surface high…
Hi, cool project! I would say if the goal is to support a moba/ rts style gameplay, the environment has to much contrast overall. Ideally have some units/ heroes in there throughout the creation process, so you can balance everything in a way so the gameplay elements read well. Perhaps you can add some parameters to your…
The tractor is not completely done, but i'm also doing some additional props (the idea is to make it into a diorama scene , not a full env. but like a model with a base and some stuff around , then render a turntable ) For this 'jerry can' i used the node shader an controlmap method , but also 'traditional' painting and…
I woke up this morning and wanted to model something quickly and texture it quickly as well. I spent about an hour and this is what I finished. 1. 2. 3. Wire frame and poly/tri count opinions and crits?
Agreed, it's solid. As for some first impressions I had: The Untold house looks atmospheric and seems mostly realistic, but many edges have very wide bevels and are lighter like you might do for more stylized stuff. Edge wear is real, but usually not as extreme and even as that. The big round arches over some of the doors…
In Almost There weather changes quickly, clothes wear out quickly too. You will have to carefully search empty houses for decent clothing. Our social pages: https://linktr.ee/amtthegame
Yea I can't believe how this it's the first post. Being able to easily iterate on your asset and see how it looks in game quickly is #1 for me. Testing animation easily/quickly is #2.
I've just been using it to quickly block in some stuff so the values are fine for me. I tend to leave most things on smooth anyway, but this is perfect for quickly planting feet and hands.
