I was doing a search for studios that develop for the PSP since I happen to enjoy making old gen game art and I'm looking for work. I came across this http://blog.wired.com/games/2006/11/climax_psp_deve.html Can anyone post studios they know of that develop for the PSP or DS. Any thoughts on the article would be cool too.…
Is there a way in Maya to have Sub-Ds not turned on in the maya viewport, but when you render the scene it will render in sub-d mode. The reason I ask is because I have I very dense scene, over 1 million triangles lol. It is for school, but my computer at home is struggling to run the scene in sub-d mode.
I agree, the DS+Friends can be put in one thread called "gamer tags" or something. That way people can post all thier "handles" and other info for all the games/services. Or better yet ask that people put that info in their polycount discription? Also is there a way to give the sticked threads a different icon?
Actually the other day I had a cool idea for a DS game that would have been called "Zombies vs Vikings" because IMHO we just don't see enough Viking based games these days... Plus who wouldn't love a Tank re-modelled as an 8 foot tall zomvie Viking clad in armour...?
edit: I found out why its looking jagged on my pc and not my laptop, I have it on my pc to be set up for linear when I was doing my DS texturing a while ago....reason it looks that jaggedness and didnt even realise theres are all viewport grabs was why...my bad
You are thinking about Foxconn, where the work situations are so bad people comit suicide by jumping off the roofs. But the situation has improved, they have installed anti-suicide nets arround the campuses now! And these guys manufacture the most complicated electronics, like your psp`s your ds`s and your iphones.
it really makes me sad how people equate higher polygons and bigger textures as 'better graphics' even if the art is nowhere near as elegant or proficient. like when people say PSP games have better graphics than DS games hands down...(like, all of them, not on a case by case basis as it should be) ugh.
Shame he doesn't credit the original author of the model. Really should. Looks like all he's doing is running the model through Pepakura or whatever it's called now (used to be something else, can't remember the old name). Still, I guess DS-spec models are ideal for papercraft, since they're so low-poly.
Been married 7 years, have 2 kids and it's a treat. My son is that age where we just started playing games together. It's really awesome having a best bud who's your kid and also plays games with you! My wife games more than both of us. She's a casual DS gamer.
Hey Rens I love how she is kindof stretched diagonally, I don't know if this is intentional but it gives a lot of life to the pose, great stuff! Just got my R4 kit for the Nintendo DS. So obviously the first thing I did was installing Colors on it. Yay! So here goes, selfportrait on a 3inch screen:
