This is a basketball level I finished recently. It's around 10k total polys in the scene. About 80 textures totalling 9.5 megs, not bigger than 256x256. There are 2 512x512 lightmaps in the scene. One on the ground and the other on the orange brick building. I used Mental Ray to create the lightmaps.
I added a new scene, the M7 render scene that I posted here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2118179&postcount=62 Also has the highpoly cage files in OBJ format
thats the entire shader itself, im either using a layered shader or mib_color_mix, but I have not touched the scene file in a while, I have been doing the same thing but in Vray and with a different scene.
I really like this scene a lot, but I think that the recent satellite dish doesn't blend in the scene in it's current state. I believe it will be fixed before it finished tho. Keep up the excellent work!
update: i finally have a lighting setup that i kinda like enough, i messed with contrast and gamma to achieve that. some quick print screens of scene progression 472k tris the whole scene
Wednesday update! Because I will be painting the commander tonight at the show, I decided to go back to my tiger scene and do a bit more scene setup and lighting. Here's a quick IPR render!
Happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans, happy thursday to the rest of you! I updated my sword, and put it in a new scene and did a few renders.... Also made some Tatami tiles for the scene.
compositionally your scene has very little focus. individually all the assets look pretty nice but there's so much going on in the scene that your eye doesn't really get to rest on any of them.
Well them back to the OP scene i really like it but i think the concrete between the road and side walk (the gutter concrete maybe) is too wide... other then that really good looking scene.
looking awesome dude! one thing about the video once you finish this scene would be nice to get some ambient sounds in there so its not silent would crank up the mood to this scene.
