Cool to see the contest is still running. A group and I entered in 07 (Rocketball) and it was a ton of fun! MS parties rock! Only crits on the game have to do w/ the art - in particular, the FX don't quite fit the aesthetic. Something less real would work well (mainly the fire that looks so out of place). Best of luck!
Composition wise, I think your first attempt is close to being fine. It could use some weather fx... it's a viking theme, so lighting, something to do with the hammer of Thor etc etc could be great. I think all you really need to do is continue updating prop by prop until it's fresh and reskinned, so to speak!

KDR: your A64 3000+ runs at 1.8 Stock I believe Vass:the whole point behind AMD's naming system is to show the equivilent Intel processor. In general, a 3200+ is "equal" to about a 3 ghz Intel proc. The game runs great on my FX-55/6600GT/GB Dual Channel 2-2-2-10 RAM.

picked this up tonight and the 1st impressions are great. loooove the chunky look of everything, especially the skull statues you can tell were sculpted with love after the 1st level. the FX work seems pretty nice as well. the combat also feels really good, lots of good rhythm to it, Im liking it a lot more than dantes…
