Hello community! I am a student working in game design focusing on 3D Modeling. We were tasked with designing and modeling our own magic staff. The instructions were to create a staff of any nature (I chose an ocean theme) that had to contain a gem of some sort. The polycount for the project was 7k polys. I want to better…
well, let's not forget about achievements, BG games felt so dull and empty without them. funny hats and collectibles are also a must, and so is the quest direction arrow. oh, and super spectacular slow-mo death animations please.
okay soo, early christmas here! Thanks so much for sharing guys, I really find it cool that you guys can wear multiple hats (from concept to final in-game), really impressive. amazing work to everyone on the team.
Wow, the Worgen story / starting areas and quests are really top-notch. I'm only level 11, and I'm loving it so far. Much better than the Goblin starting quests / areas. Plus, werewolves with top hats? So awesome.
nice work here. Looking at the head, I think the skull should be considerably larger. Basically, I think the hat should be higher up to leave the correct amount of space for the skull to fit inside. other than than it looks great!
Might want to be careful with the combo of "Art" and "Bell" in the US Art Bell was a semi-well known tinfoil hat talk show host. You might not want your site getting tangled up in Art Bell search results lol.
my only crit is with the clipping of the feather / broach thing on the hat, though possibly intentional? it doesnt quite look right though- all in all beautiful work man, really dig the marmoset renders, but an environment would be nice too! :D
Nice work! Just a quick comment though. rigging reel. when you first show the guy in the trench coat and hat. you make him bend his knees a little, and there is clipping around the crotch, through the jacket. Clipping on a rigging reel is a huge no no
Reading stuff like this makes me not wanna try to break into the industry. I know you have to make sacrifices to break into such a hard industry (I'd move anywhere at the drop of a hat), but I don't think it's worth what would be my sanity and health.
