Hey everybody, I'm about to graduate from my 3 year game dev program here at Durham College. I'm pretty excited to get out there and look for work, I was really hoping to get some solid crits about my website, its layout and the content I have on it. http://tpogson.carbonmade.com/
Well, here goes something. I have two concepts in mind for a tower, and depending on which one I go with Ill build the Creep Den off of that design. I'm tempted to jump straight into 3d because 2D isn't my forte, but here are the two ideas I had. Suggestions much appreciated.
I use Maya and ZBrush primarily. I "grew up" on Unity so I haven't touched UDK. I have buckets and buckets of scripts to supplement my modeling/unwrapping speed. No, I'm not still modeling hard surface stuff in ZBrush :) I can high poly model in Maya, yes. I'll be posting a bunch of those Weekly Hard Surface Challenge…
Was on a vacation and did some small sideprojects in the meantime instead of working on the character. Somebody dear to me got themself a cogi and I wanted to make a printable figurine. Something different I was trying. I thought about how to model the katana bindings for some time and I think I finally found a way that…
This might be a stupid question to ask. How does one attend E3 every year? Is E3 exclusively for game devs who have worked in the games industry or know someone in the industry? I would like to attend to one E3 event at some point.
Sorry, Dustin. Another one bites the dust for San Diego.. Work is getting tougher to find out here. Dustin, I got buddies at Trion telling me they are doing a major hiring push. They are located in Del Mar. Had an interview there and it's a GREAT studio!
Thanks friends ^-^ Yep! Still got a lot to figure out for color n textures, but I'm def going to push more jade into these! Thinking about doing a bit more mint-ish jade to try and keep a bit of her icy background hehe.
Hey Alec, Yeah I encountered the error on Win 7 64-bit. Now that it's working I tried the tool and its friggin' awesome. Had no problems but only did a little bit of testing. Will report dem errors if i see any :D
yeh... they had that dev videos on the combat... wish they had not included that in the game. Shattered Memories didn't rely in combat and it was such a unique and awesome experience. I think exploring and feeling vulnerable, and trying to solve puzzles to overcome enemies should be the way to go in the future games.
Thanks guys, I know it's probably common sense, but I'm a noob! @beefaroni: thanks, i will def do that tomorrow...simple solution that I should have thought of before! @abdullah: damn, now I have to re-model my wall too :)
