Decided to rebuild the first ship I ever made for Fractured Space since it could use a fair bit of love. Concept art by Mike Hill: Built the rear third of the ship - ~100k tris so far, ~12 tiling/modular materials. Max viewport render: Recommend opening the above image in a tab as it is fairly high res.
Hey PC, I have not posted any work in over a year due to long hours at a post production studio. I have decided to rebuild my environment portfolio. This is a early shot of the medical machine in space I have been working on. All comments / crits welcome. Catwalk will continue around. I know its floating.
Has anybody tried out to create a Doom3 (player-) model using that cartoon "-shading" technique connor o'kane developed for Quake III? (http://www.cokane.com/) I build a Quake III Arena mod using this style and would like to rebuild (or even better: convert;-) it to run on the Doom3 engine. - Yes, just to draw more…
Japanese Alleyway Lighting - Ue4 After finishing the lighting academy on YouTube about Ue4, I wanted to rebuild the lighting in my latest environment and achieve another mood with a better look, I wanted to achieve afternoon lighting, I used Ray tracing in rendering this time and the results are Awesome.…
@cycloverid thanks for the advice, but whats marmoset? whats you're argument for large environments in udk? I've found it slows down alot, is sandbox worst? EDIT: not completely slowed down, but a slight framerate drop, and the issue of contantly rebuild lighting for the entire map after a change to a small area. it…
I used the 0.6 version in production and got a lot of issues. The script didn't allow to save the scene while i was working with it. If you save and open the scene, all the city generated will be not editable anymore by the script. You will have to rebuild a new one. I' am talking about 0.6. Hope this changed into the 0.8…
update, rebuild whole scene with assets im currently have, just for playing with lighting and details, looking ugly. I think it's too many decals, but i can't really find the happy middle or whatever, guess i should looking for more references. Maybe make some new floors for testing or even walls
I'm not sure what would cause it to happen, at least not without having seen the project itself or what you did with it during the work you developed! You could always try deleting the affected maps via the DDO menu, then rebuild them via the same menu. That should bring everything back to normal again. :)
Triangulate the mesh maybe? I'm not sure if if the vector text to polygons has made an ngon for the top face giving that shape such as O, I remember getting similar problems when I booleaned a plane few years ago. If you had a way to rebuild the mesh like dynamesh or blenders equivalent that might fix the problem.
Curves>Open/Close Curve? Or holding "c" while using the move tool, you can constrain points along the curve, drag to the end so they overlap. You also wrote "curve this CV curve", so if you wanted to convert the type, open the Rebuild Curve dialog and change the degree from 1 to 3.
