You could just make them taller; the cylindrical portion above the current legs doesn't look like it's doing much, so you could just extend the top hinge of the legs up into it and have their outstretched position be at a shallower angle to the vertical axis. It'd be the same footprint as the current version, but the force…
3.5 isnt that buggy exept for the middle axis line on meshes thats a royal pain in the ass. Must say tho that i never had crashes with 3.5 which i find pretty refreshing
Yeah, the workflow is so disparate from Max's that it's hard to accurately compare the two. From what I've witnessed, Max users have the hardest time transitioning to modo simply because it's so different - especially with the lack of a modifier stack. As I learned 3D in LightWave I've been so used to a "permanent" forward…
I still miss something that make her a droid?! Mechanized limbs like in Deus Ex could bring this droid feeling or some cables instead of the stomach. The railgun design looks good, not so standard. I guess you have tried how it looks when she holds it. A problem could be that the gun looks inbalanced in her hands, because…
@Arkaria : My suggestion would be to still give wooden chairs a try. I know this might sound counter-intuitive, but a nice wooden chair (at the proper height of course) can do wonders for your back. I have been using the equivalent to this for years and feeling much better than in any so-called "office chair" that swivels…
The visible outer diameter of the barrel is still way too small. EDIT: on a closer look, the axis of the barrel in the model is also significantly offset upwards above the axis of the chamber and bolt. See the cylinder path running from the tube the buttstock slides on, through the ring on the rear of the receiver, along…
continued working on this, gui mockup for the next version: so for the next version I want mainly GUI changes:* split view of the source image with its slices and the texture result area. Each side has its own panning and zooming state just like multi views in max or maya. * a toolbar with icons and rollOver description…
Well, it's been quite a while since I last used Maya now.. but I did create a rig in it, where you'd add this kind of thing for the forearm... unfortunately I can't remember precisely how to do so though. But I'm pretty sure it was only a matter of locking all but the axis you wanted to use on your bone, ie. x-rotation.…
Added a frame generator for the wall. It scales in the x and y axis without stretching the moulding and the wood grain is going in the right direction for each piece.
