yeah until now i've settled for clone tool + darken layer tricks to get the job done. but that is painstakingly long sometimes, and not always good enough. and i figured since all colour data in photoshop is essentially just numbers, there might be some filter wizard who's made something to do this. oh well :)
One more thing, check this dude out! He's a freakin' wizard when it comes to anatomy and human figure sculpting. He's got tons of material and lessons that are well worth the time watching. He touches on everything from muscle anatomy to a step by step way to sculpting faces. https://www.youtube.com/user/rkingslien
Projects would be things I work on in a group setting. My school has something pretty cool called "Game Wizards", which is essentially a student production team. We make games. And so, work I do with them would be put in the "Projects" area. Which, to me, is really relevant, because it's experience.
Did a suuuuuper early WIP of the wizard's tower that all these props are going into. I still need to figure out how I'm going to do bricks, timbers, and roof tiles without any sort of textures, but I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out. If nothing else, I'll just model everything.
Hey everyone! I'm working on a modern reinvention of several characters from the Wizard of Oz. This is a personal project, so feedback would be greatly appreciated! :) so far I have started my initial concept for the Tin Woodsman character. I plan on reinventing the 4 main characters, and possibly eventually some secondary…
The crotch seems awfully broad; some of that's in the concept, but yours is even wider. Most mammals have a fairly small distance between their legs. It's the difference between "lizard-hipped" creatures like, well, lizards, and "bird-hipped" creatures like pretty much all other terrestrial animals. Your design has a…
sorry shoulda clarified, when I said vfx artists i meant games fx artists, like particle wizards. the guys who can create explosions, hit fx, magic spells etc. If you can get fired up about that kinda stuff and get really good, you will never be hurting for a job.
for rendering with scanline maybe, but mainly the discussion started about how maya bakes for realtime use the best of all the packages. It doesn't matter if you are a cage editing wizard in max; if your tangent basis generation is screwy, you will never get a good result for realtime. :( If you're just rendering you'll…
@ Holly Cheers - the wizard-ness I feel comes from the moving elements of the kitchen in the film, like the floating pan being washed and so on. The clock is about half done at the moment, but it'll be in there :) for the plates, i just stacked them individually and grouped them for easy moving around. @YBourykina - Thanks…
Great demo. Had a blast. The skin weight painting on the humans was pretty bad, is that left for late in the development? That and Jen's paint-on ears were the only things that really took me out of the game. Great level design. The last time magic or religion in a game bothered me was when that blasted red wizard shot the…
