Roadkill UV and Sculptri's are two free (and lightweight) programs that can import and export objs. If either of those along with Blender can't open the OBJ correctly, I'm guessing there's a problem with the obj itself.
OBJ dosnt support color, what is going on is that zbrush saves the extra data as comments appended to the OBJ. XNormal just knows how to read this non standard data zbrush puts in the OBJ.

I only really export/import .obj files in and out of max, but I'm growing tired of having to scroll down the drop-down list to find obj everytime. Is there a way of bumping obj files to the top of the drop down list?
