The pc is full of emulators, I'm sure there are already emulators for the 360, I havent looked though, they probably require a very powerful pc. With Microsofts access they should be able to make it reasonably playable. But yeah I'm not sure I really believe this. Its like Microsoft giving someone the keys to their anus. -

Heey, thanks J_Ott! Absolutely right about having the camera lagging a bit, we'll have to do something about that! Good note about the FPS counter as well... We're both sitting on fairly powerful desktop computers, so I guess we haven't thought much of optimization yet. -

This is great. Syd Mead, cool architecture & interesting colours. I'm not sure the rows of flying cars quite work : It took me a while to realise that they weren't badly aliased power lines. It could be because there isn't anything in the scene yet to judge the scale, but the book looks kinda small to me. I would imagine a book powerful enough to summon a tentacle monster would be more like the image below. So many pages that when the book is open all the pages taper inwards. -

Since it's a puzzle game they could potentially devote the majority the platforms computing power just to the graphics. Of coarse, plenty of gamers will claim it isn't a game because you aren't shooting dudes in the face which is a shame because games like Myst & Riven where some of my favorite games as a kid. -

Re: zbrush vs 3d coat
3d coat has a lot of features but a lot of them feel a bit unrefined, especially in work flow or ui. The retopology and voxel sculpting is quite strong and the texture painting and normal map painting/editing is pretty cool but the standard sculpting tools dont really compare to the versatility and power of zbrush brushes. -

If you're worried about wasting the world's precious resources, there are lots of other things far more worthy of scorn. For example, those stupid cat ears that move around when you think about stuff. Or USB powered nerf launchers. Or .... hell, the list goes on and on. It's a toy. A gadget. It looks neat...
