It needed about hour and a half less story and an hour more disaster porn. The writing was crap, the acting was average, the emotional bits were just painful and it was a waste of time and money. Really pretty FX work, though.
Best bet then is to use Shader FX. With it you can make fully-featured game-like shaders. http://www.autodesk.com/products/maya-lt/features/lighting-materials-and-texture-baking/physically-based-shader-materials
The quality of your 3D work is quite strong, the rest is really not close to the standard expected of this industry. In my personal opinion, you should drop the concept/illustration/fx portions of your website. Good luck on the search!
Lighting was fantastic and loved the density of vegitation going on, most of it felt really natural. sound fx were great too. weakest aspect was the story, mostly due to lack of contex, but quite the visual treat. thanks for sharing!
tiny update. Did some work on a few of the writers and did some texture/mesh changes to the grid. Matte still untouched, FX still wip. Need to finish th writers tonight then move on to the guard tower.
