Replying specifically to this snippet from your original post: "I often discover when Senior Artist or Art-Director from such a studio have a profile, and guess what? Among "personal projects" they very often post mind-blowing and amzing stuff that is really jaw-dropping in my eyes." I understand you're mostly referring to…
don't be silly They're not purposely making things bad, they're developing what their marketing department tells them will get the most people into the asset store because that's what drives profit and they need profit to keep their investors happy. Whether that generates a useful product for people developing games or not…
I think unless you have a ton of game dev experience under your belt (like 10+ years) starting up a AAA studio or anything like a multi-million dollar projects is not going to happen. most investors are so cautious that they want to see a track record of success, example: you prove you can make a small game that does well…

Yes this is something I was thinking about recently, mainly I know that its GREAT to have a understanding in both since in fact both are the same thing in the end , a form of art. But digital art and fine art are almost night in day with other things, (you have brush strokes, in real life but in photoshop you have brush…
Basically, I'm wondering if it is better to study a 3D animation/modeling course (MA 3D Computer Animation Bournemouth) or a Games Art and Design course (Goldsmiths) to get into the game industry as an artist. I would really appreciate any advice/thoughts. I'm transitioning from a traditional fine art background to digital…
