http://members.shaw.ca/craig-young81/index.html Bunch of renders I did for a local custom car shop for a proposal for nintendo. it's being built right now as we speak and am hoping I can get onto the team taking the trailer around. There are a few issues I am hoping to go back and fix. mainly the glass has a couple…
Hello. I'm looking at getting into the gaming industry. My skills hover between technical artist and environment artist. I'm very proficient at figuring out how to get things to work inside engines. Right now I'm working on my own game in Unreal Engine 4 using only blueprints. I guess I'm just not sure the best way to show…

May be worth looking into working with an updated version of Maya. There are many performance issues addressed with more recent versions. I doubt it will chew through your CPU and GPU the way you expect it to, but I normally use 2020 and noticed significant boosts to real time viewport performance after switching from 2018…
Yes I did. I was using multiple Post Process Volumes with different Post process Materials. What I had to do was inside the night vision material I needed to set the "Blendable Location" to Before Tonemapping. The Blendable location is in the Post Process Material header. I hope that helps A
I'm having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around your method from descriptions alone. Are you generating three mesh to curve outputs, sampling and blending them then offsetting points around? I'm asking because I'm doing something similar to generate hair cards, blending different curves for root, body of the card and…
It's most likely related to having changed your project's location on your drive. Open Project.XML and check all of the paths to ensure that everything points to the location that the project itself and all of its input maps reside in, then fix them if they're incorrect - once you do that, try opening the Reimporter again.
OK, finally decided on a roach infested hotel, but with a great location. From the 15th-18th we'll be at the Regent palace hotel, located literally right outside the picadilly tube station. So, anyone know of good pubs around there or should we all just hook up in the lobby on the 16th and wing it?
Is there a simple way to randomize the starting location on a singleplayer map? Or a workaround like teleporting the player to one of two locations at random? Also, could anyone tell me why a whole bunch of buttons have bunched up on the left of the screen? Its the row with the movement/flyby speed on, which is annoying.…
In your image the Pole Target is empty. That Bone.040 is acting as the IK target -- where the bones in the IK chain, a single bone in this case, will try to reach. It's not acting as a Pole Target. The IK constraint, when set to a Chain Length of 1, works the same as a Track To constraint: the single IK chain bone will…
