Can you post the UV sheet for your light map? It looks like you're getting some shadow bleeding. Try giving your shells a bit more padding. They need considerably more space between them compared to the texture UVs.
Like above poster said and it looks like you used maya's hair blend. Not sure if you should do that or just use planes and alpha channel them for transparency while actually texturing them. Perhaps someone will more knowledge will chime in.
looks good. i guess youre still blocking it out but i feel like those modular bricks leading up to the stairs seem kinda obvious and dont blend into each other that well. the seam part seems kinda muddied and not definitive.
The concept is great but it does not translate too faithfully into 3d, because the handle has blended into the blade and the weapon is very thick which makes it seem not sharp. it feels a bit doughy. but its not bad at all, i look forward to your future works :)
man, this is looking really nice. The foliage are really well done and blends nicely with your style. Also btw, how did you do the jar ornament engravings ? I'm still learning and I'd love to know your process on it. :) Goodluck man !
Threw the dirt and Jeep together in Unreal Engine 4 and whipped together a quick vertex dirt blend on the tires for funzies. This is the start of iteration and creation of the final scene. I figured I could bounce between the jeep and the scene as I lose focus.
In my IK/FK rig, I only blend the constraints of the shoulder and elbow joints. There is no reason for the wrist to get orientation from the arms, since the IK doesnt rotate the last joint in the chain anyway. Its usually controlled by the wrist controller (for animating)
It lacks IK/FK blending. Needs some kind of spine control and it would be great but not necessary if the head had Look At functionality. If you really wanted to get tricky it would be awesome if the eyes had independent Look At controls also. But seriously... these are rigs: These are not:
Hey, I saw your Lesh set on the workshop, really cool idea but the area where the horns meet the head is a bit iffy. It'd be really cool if you could blend the horns more into the head, right now they really stand apart.
That would give you issues. You have zero space between UV shells. Detail from one shell will bleed over onto the other shells during the bake. Like Commador said, you need padding around each shell
