Haha. Wow, Hynerians and fishy face seem to look a bit alike. It's not intentional, I don't think.=) Like I said, def take al ook at the mesh and see what could be done about this sagginess in general... we will see.
Ah cool thanks. Hopefully I don't sound *too* bitchy, but the dev. team could do worse than to take a peek at DD's material and shader setup for the master chief ;-P Damn though, those kids really are fantastic.
hmm. I have tabletPC optional components off and it still shows up every now and then. not really annoying but it lags my games that I play in Windowed mode. it disappears if I ctrl+alt+del and go back to Windows though.
I'm curious in general what are or were the biggest issues that each of you faced learning game dev? An example, I remember it taking me way to long as an artist to fully understand normal maps. Direct x versus opengl, matched tangent bias etc.

Sorry if this sounds ridiculously basic, but I'm using bootcamp to run 3ds max 2011 on my macbook pro and there's no DEL key as it's a laptop keyboard, fn+backspace doesn't work, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution other than to keep running on-screen keyboard..? :poly127: Thanks, Ihazard
This is a very nice story by Kenney: http://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/2z0tys/publishing_free_game_assets_can_lead_to_great/ Most artists i know have this feeling about public domain or open-source, but it can be great thing. It's very nice what Kenney has being doing for the indie game dev community.
http://www.siggraph.org/s2006/index.php So is anyone planning on going? I thought the current exhibitor list is fairly sad for games, EA being the only publisher/developer signed up so far. Other than E3 are there other Game Dev exhibitions that come strongly recommended for networking opportunities?
