It's hard to say if this is the case based on the cropped screenshots, but I know you can replicate an identical result if you don't have materials turned on for the tool (ie: RGB only). Drop out of edit mode and check to make sure you're set to MRGB before going back to edit.
Gameplay & AI Programmer Threewave Software is looking to hire an excellent, well rounded and proactive programmer with a penchant for taking a compelling game design and turning it into a fully realized game experience. I like how you've got the trim sheet shown. For the wireframe of a prop, I always like to show a render of the prop from a few angles, plus the wireframe. Here's how I've shown off one of my assets with a wireframe; 2 different angles, plus the wireframe, plus some basic info. This way you've condensed some of the…
Keep working at it! Don't forget all the amazing artists on artstation all started at some point too. That Jade statue is your best piece right now in my opinion, it seems like you have a pretty good understanding of modeling and texturing. Look up things like trim sheet textures, game engines, and work towards piecing…
on almost every environment I have worked on it was 80-90% tiling textures and tiling trim sheets. it give you a cohesive feel to everything in the level using a set of textures, and for things like damage or whatever, have tiling damage textures that you can vertex blend in with the addition of a mask to break it up. not…
Hi and welcome to P&P :D First of, you don't have your CV/Resume up at all? Or it's to hard to find. I think you props looks great! The only one that i think you to some work on is the gasoline can (couldn't find a decent enough word for it, but the "bensin dunk" :P). I think the material definition on it is of. Doesn't…
I like your site layout and the work here is awesome. What are you trying to do with it, though? You've got a mish-mash of mobile-spec cutesy pixel-art stuff, and then a few simple props built towards modern specs. Nothing you're demonstrating is particularly complex or difficult, and the reality is that bathroom scales…
Here's a quick update on the situation: I realized that I am pretty late on the schedule. So it's time to double the efforts and WORK! So there is the WIP of the central piece of the village square in the reference. I'm planning to replace the original cross with a sort of tech-anvil standing on a cross shaped platform.…
Nice work for a first project! What your city lacks are details. You need to consider the level of detail you want for this project - many of your assets seem to be targeted so something in the first person/vehicle sim level, but the amount of detail in the environment as a whole suggests this is more targeted to top-down…
Part of it is because of storytelling. The other part comes from confidence issues. Before I got into 3D modeling, I use to draw people. I was obsessed with drawings characters I saw on TV, Movies, Games, Anime etc and getting them to look perfect. Eventually I wanted to make my own characters but every time I looked at…
