Cheers Pixel. I have my own base mesh.. Im just gonna improve it a little to my own specs and dynamesh it :) atleast that way i can say i've done the legwork from the ground up... :) Nice work :)
I would like to know what you mean by that because i've ran into that problem too may a time ^^ Model is looking fine btw but i think it could use some more gloss/spec variation in the metal especially the handle
Hey Melviso , looking really good , i suggest you to give more life to the room , more books , toys , more photos , maybe posters. this can add a plus. and pushing a bit the spec on some assets. hope it helps you!
thanks for your comment. I redid some texturwork on the girl, Fixed issus with spec map, adjusted diffuse and color corrected, and made it sharper in Photoshop. Not sure if it is a hugh diffrence from before thou, maybe need to redo the normal map.
^he said in the post that he'd be changing it once he gets a new computer. I think it was more for practice sake, not for use, just to get an idea of spec/normal/diffuse. but you really should fix that when you get the chance.
Not sure if this helps at all: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DufCfxMKeg"]Review of Surface Pro 2 with 3d Apps[/ame] I'm assuming the 3 might have a bit more speed, though it depends on the specs you chose, too.
What Boozerbeard said, try ressing this down to atleast 512x512 and see what details still works, and do a repaint on the textures from there. have you looked at the models in league and checkt what type of specs they use? does anyone know?
No idea how maya handles it but max's backburner is very simple to use. Put them all in a network, turn it on and go... Older versions of mental ray were temperamental about differing pc specs on a farm but I doubt that's an issue these days
I can't wait to see what they do with this. I can't believe they are saying it will be 20% bigger than Skyrim. If they manage to make it look as good as Witcher 2 and meet that spec, my mind will be blown (even if that involves next gen tech).
Love the sci fi scene, what was your general workflow for texturing all of that? I always wonder how with few texture details it can look so beautiful, is the diffuse just a plain colour and the spec has all the details? thanks!
