Shifting to another old project. Turning my Shyvana model, which was suppossed to be my entry for Polycount LOL Art Contest years ago, into a PBR character, since i suck at handpainted. Still works in progress. You could see the old handpainted and unfinished one in the first page. -

Re: Hand Painted Texture Look
Those don't look handpainted - especially the cloth. They look like you ran them through filters. Not sure about the bark, it just doesn't look like bark. Why not try a handpainted texture from scratch? It'll take time, but it'll look more convincing! -

Mop one thing came to mind when i was trying to handpaint and failed. What about an untriangulated version for those of us prefer to get ao maps from a sculpt? If such a version exists. Anyways ill keep trying to handpaint a bit longer ^^. What softwares are you guys and gals using? -

Both buildings are fully handpainted now, although Im not a fan of the lime green colour on the small building. Hopefully ill be updating later today with a handpainted floor & another building & the curtains are just placeholders for now, also I still think my 1st building needs more detail -

Currently working in another personal project. this time a Battle Hammer. (IT'S HAMMER TIME!!) not sure if i'll do a normal map, for a realistic object, or just a handpaint job (something i never did before. could be useful for practice) as i love handpainted textures, like the World of Warcraft ones. -

Hi @dllxtt, Thank you! I'll keep them highpoly, no plans to turn all into handpainted, I love doing these. But I'll be working on full characters, including handpainted, and hopefully, I can get some feedback here at polycount when the time comes. At the moment I have a pbr one in the making (Arthas). -

Currently I am working on a mobile AR project, in which I do a lot of low poly stuff in a handpainted, stylized style. This chest is supposed to be found underwater and have some magical abilities. The whole texture is handpainted, the star too. The metal parts were a challenge to paint but I loved to do the wood :) -
Re: Separating mesh for game assets to avoid loopcuts propagation along the whole model?
I'm going to handpaint the model, I don't need normal map, just a diffuse texture handpainted will do. And those cuts need to be there to support the curve at the top. I just want to know if it's ok to separate this face from the rest so I can have this in my portfolio and not look like a foul haha.
