I figured. I've seen this problem with Maya and nVidia Quadro/FX/whatever they are called cards. There is probably a fix for it but I've never bothered searching it out. -

The funny thing about films is that the visual FX keep getting better and better yet the narrative and characters seem to dwell in some kind of childish quagmire. -

sorry to dig up an "oldie". but just in case anyone else experiences this prob. it was easily fixed by saving my hair textures out as an .fx file. -

VFS is the Vancouver Film School, www.vfs.com I'm using about 2 metal working tools and a brush with some alcohol to smoothen things out here and there. -

you can make an FX map that does that. use a sampler to scale patches you place in a grid -
