The game is looking good. It is good they are going back to the Tomb Raider roots. More puzzles, more traps, more exploration. I didn't enjoy too much on the rail gameplay. I think maybe you could add some roots coming off the stump to anchor it down to the map. Right now it feels kind of jammed in there. While I really like 3 I think the glowing floor is too much and would interfere with spell/particle effects during gameplay. -

- Dead raising, I picked it up last night and is easily my favorite 360 game. - TombRaider is a close second. It's nice to see the francise go back to its roots, even if the driving scenes needed to be axed. - Bioshock, it looks to be everything I love and nothing I hate, how could this be!? - Gears of War, of course. -

Thanks for the feedback, I took out a lot of the unnecessary polygons in the face and roots, and moved the polygons around in the branches to make the curves look smoother. I have to re-do the uvs, but here is how the mesh is looking now. Thanks again TheSplash, I'll post a close up of the normals as soon as I get the uvs… -

sorry if that came off rude ruz. You are right though, I think he'd have closer to 20 thousand counting the prior post count, I'd have like.. 3000 at best, even though I joined in 2001. That was more the root of what I was thinking. Long term membership != high post count. -

Don't forget DBAN! http://www.dban.org/ Run it, and the drive is uber-clean, no root kits, no nothing. :) Warning, be sure you back up all your stuff, because once you run DBAN once (or more if you'd like), it's nearly impossible to get something back. Always, always, always backup your work. :D -

An idea for your pedestal make it like a ground slice that has been lifted up... with grass/dirt/stones/roots/pipes. But solid modeling just need more more more! PS. if you up your rays/sample: in lighttracer, you will get rid of those artifacting. maybe double them as a starting point -

At the root of your ball, you switch the setting to "Shellac" Once you set that, you'll see under "Shellac Basic Properties" that there are 2 NEW material slots, "Base material" and "Shellac Material" However, those are both still contained within the original material on a… -
