If you changed the mesh scale it might be off screen. Press one of the blue buttons in the top left corner; that sets camera to view object I think. You can also toggle show grid/stars, snap light to camera and other options on the side.
Time for another quote! "Do you not know that King Kong the first was just three foot six inches tall? He only came up to Faye Wray's belly button! If God could do the tricks that we can do he'd be a happy man!"
I think the rework of her stomach looks a ton better, that and I agree with jgcount that the nose looks a little odd. Its not a bad nose by any stretch, but maybe playing with a button nose or something a little bigger. Still though I freakin love this character!
Thank you. I created a new shader. I can see buttons such as "Show Generated Code" and "Show All". I click on them and see MonoDev open up. I can paste the code in and even save it somewhere. That is as far as I get. No change.
renderhjs for some reason I can't get that last step to work. When I edit in PS and copy I click on the button to transfer in max and I get a no bitmap copied to clipboard error. It seems like it is not accepting the PS clipboard copy for some reason?
Mmmh i see no Lifelink. Only a faster export/import way. Lifelink for me is more like: "select a Mesh in Gameeditor mode" "push the Magic Button" "The scene change to Modelling Mode and the current game environment is rendered maybe as reflection actor in a sphere in realtime.
In the mapping options it has a setting for keeping the image ratio, or something like that, which will map it correctly for you. You want to use the select shell tool at the top of the UV editor menu. Its in the top left group of buttons in the UV editor near the unfold tool.
I would start by modeling a very basic hand and maybe smoothing it, then by using an assortment of the techniques shown here http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=9014331 but I imagine the "Create Shape From Selection" button will get the most use.
Full of style & excellent, work! Can't wait to see more of the progress and hopefully future designs. EDIT: I wanted to say that what's going on with his stomach area is fuggin with my head, I keep thinking It's a belly button but I know It's not or is it. AkK :poly122:
Okay I'm guessing your displacement map settings look similar to the attached shot? One thing to note, if you click the clone disp button, it'll copy the displacement map to the alpha palette, at which point you can export it as a PSD, TIFF or BMP.
