They can come up with Modo 11 all they want, but why would modo not allow me to copy the UI im working in, rename it and customize it to anyway i want ? For now you cant copy a default window and rework it. You have to rebuild it from scratch and can sometimes not function like the original. -

If you want accurate reflections the best way is to go with blend materials as final_fight mentioned above. But you can pretty much rely on specular and glossiness maps that are created by ddo. Here is the test I did recently. All vray materials are default. Only exception is specular map-done with falloff map. -

yeah c4d has phong tags, that by default allow you to apply a certain angle eg 89% to the entire mesh but you can insert phong breaks along edges. its not as flexible as max as you cant have multiple phong tags applied to different parts of the mesh I dont think. -

from what i remember of SWG, they did it by take a screenshot from the default position and the game then changed the angle of the camera and took a new shot. repeat for 360degrees. the quicktime software sturng them together and allowed you to drag it around. like a gif or movie clip you click and drag to advance/rewind. -

Well the software tweeks I did didn't work. I ended up taking out the tip (nip) out of my stylus with a set of pliers and put it back in. I set the software settings back to default and it stopped lagging like it used to so it seems to be all set. Later. Alex Alex -

I have just finished texturing the drone. I think I liked the word Drone better than Droid since drone can refer to a worker bee No Spec, just default spec in Max, with some dynamic lighting. Wilex, are you who I think you are? heh heh :poly124: -

I use the same size as under the soruce engine. With the soruce engine you have comon size : a wall = 128*128 unit, etc. -

Looks to me to be something Nitrous related. 3ds max updated their viewport engine in 2012 and something that is on by default now is the "2 light" option in the viewport. + > configure viewports > Lighting and Shadows Tab > use the 1 light option. See if that does anything. This honestly doesn't look like a smoothing…
