Hi Guys ! It's been a long time since the last time I show you what I've done with the scene. So as i said the last time, and with your comments, I increased the amount of tris on certains meshes like the type of plant plots and on the base of the scene. I made the foliage, and began to place it, I think i'll have to…
You can get this done without motionbuilder. If you name the bones the same, then you can easily load/save animations between selections of bones. Select the torso, Main Menu > Animation > Save. Select the new Torso, Load animation. You can also load those animations into the Motion Mixer and blend them however you need.…
Right, I'll guess I'll start off with a hello. (First post.) It's also my first time tackling a challenge, really excited! So, I will be doing Sam Brown's concept, it's a fantastic piece, I hope I can do this justice. I'll be posting the greyblock on here in a bit. Concept breakdown: The breakdown and the notes were both…
Day 3 update ^_^, i'm going to try and do daily updates on progress, it seems to be working so far. Most of the head is done now, just need to add some more superfluous paneling, some more screws and the support structure and joint for the head section to connect to the main body. some thins to note. the hoses i intend…
Well, the head is looking rather flat. There is a total lack of bone structure underneath the skin which makes the piece look boneless with a bad silhouette. The human face is 70% defined by the underlying structure - the skull, then fat deposits and lastly individual features. The first thing you should do is study facial…
[ QUOTE ] some feedback i received mentioned i should do i quick rig to see how it would animate, neverv attempted rigging and will give it a go not sure which is easier to do in max bones or physique but first off i really need to concentrate on getting the modelling part correct 1st. [/ QUOTE ] You can take your modeling…
Daedalus: really liking the outfit- the colour choices makes me think of Free Radical's art direction- some of the shading looks a little bit dark and murky (around the breasts is the most obvious place for this) but overall I'm liking what I'm seeing the face isn't quite doing it for me though- I think it's looking a bit…
looks a lot better to me, much more natural proportions and positions for facial features. good progress in this thread crits... there seems to be a lump going horizontally across his head from the cheek bones? it probably just needs a bit of smoothing so its less obvious. the mouth and the cheeks are pushing up against…
Hey there, So I'm attempting to create a character for my entry into GA's current mini comp, which so far hasn't gone well. I'm ashamed to say I've never done a character before (I know it sounds dumb that I'm entering a comp having never done one before, but I thought it was a good motivation to get into it regardless of…
Hello all! This is the first challenge I have entered on polycount, and I'm really excited about it. I have never really done any environment art, but am looking forward to the challenge! The theme I am going for is kind of like a contrast between industrial and upper class areas, mixing places of work with places of high…
