Hey there,
So I'm attempting to create a character for my entry into GA's current mini comp, which so far hasn't gone well.
I'm ashamed to say I've never done a character before (I know it sounds dumb that I'm entering a comp having never done one before, but I thought it was a good motivation to get into it regardless of how well I may do)
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good modelling tut. I don't mind paying for one if necessary.
I'm ideally looking for one that covers box style modelling without ref planes. I've Googled a few tuts and have found quite a lot, but most are either a bit brief or cover the point to point, edge extrude method and use ref planes.
Thanks

I can get a relatively 'head-shaped' base ok, but then I get stuck at trying to put eyes/nose/mouth in. I know I could just jump into ZBrush with a good base and worry about the geometry on the retopo, but I think it would be good for me to actually know how to achieve it without the sculpt to build upon.
So a head modelling tut would be just fine!
