Ok, I think I've discovered why it isn't working. The model's polygons need special flags like Masked, Translucent & Modulated in order to get special effects to work. Since the textures are for a custom model I'm trying to import, I'm trying to find a way to do this.
Read this from PA this morning. That's wild. This does prove two things. 1. Why the two sequels did not live up to the original, even with state-of-the-art polygonal technologies. 2. How much influence large corporations have over the media. Scary. Down with AOL!
Yes, the size of the Viewer file will depend on the polygon count as well as the amount and resolution of the textures in use. Try adjusting the texture quality setting and exporting. You may need to optimize your mesh(es) as well. If you need to upload larger Viewer files, the ArtStation Pro account type has a higher…
Decided to pause and ask before getting ahead of myself with it. With something like seen in the picture, is this topology good, bad, okay? In the reference there not separated parts which is why it's a single mesh. It's also coming down to a flat surface and I didn't want a bunch of extra polygons wrapping around that…
https://vimeo.com/457274458 Subdivision surfaces are piecewise parametric surfaces defined over meshes of arbitrary topology. It's an algorithm that maps from a surface to another more refined surface, where the surface is described as a set of points and a set of polygons with vertices at those points. The resulting…
Hi there in great morning! =) Im just finish new textures for my first model created one year ago on courses. Can you leave some feedback about it?) May i work in studio with this skills?? more works here: https://www.artstation.com/valerii_horlo >15k polygons; 4k textures. Thank for your time!
Hey, Does anyone know of a quick way to create weapon trails in Maya? I'm animating a hot with fast sword swipes and spins and I need a weapon trail. I could make them out of simple polygons and toggle them off/on but I was wondering if there was a better way to do it or if there was a plugin out there. Thanks.
What I am trying to do is make the center vertices all uniform, so that the polygon is straight and is the same width at each vert. I think I saw a method for this a long time ago, but just can't remember. I tried planer and planer view... but that didn't work. Any advice would be such a big help.
Hey folks. I'm doing a little R&D. I'm looking for games, or 3d art in general really, that uses the polygon faceting as part of its art style. Interstate 76 was a nice albeit very low poly example of the kind of thing I'm after. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Cheers.
need some help about modeling for mobile games and texture also means how much should b the polygon, and how much should b the texture size and how can i import all the things in program. The target platform is nikea opengl enabled mobiles.
